My name is Madison Cox and I am currently attending the University of Michigan majoring in Mathematical Biology and minoring in Writing. I have always loved to write, and given my major, I knew that I would need to find an academic outlet to cater towards that part of me. So I decided to apply to the Sweetland Writing Minor. I have included the letter that I used to relay my desire to be a member of the minor here. One day I hope that I will be able to incorporate my writing into a profession, or a daily hobby.
